From 11am to 7pm each Friday, you’ll be able to sample wares from a range of different local artisans. This will include food stalls, but has a wider scope to include artists and designers.
Vicky said: “Over 22 million people use Waverley train station every year and we want to give them an alternative shopping experience that brings all the variety, passion and creativity of the local entrepreneurial spirit under one roof”.
Tania said: “We are still looking for interested stall holders to come forward. We’re particularly interested in hearing from traders offering quality food or arts and crafts. There’s even room for a massage therapist and we’re open to interesting ideas.
“Preference will be given to social enterprises but we are open to all businesses with an ethical or local product. Our rates make it accessible for everyone as we have different prices ranging from £30 to £60 a day depending on size of pitch so a stall could be a small table, a medium gazebo or a large gazebo.”
This is a fantastic new venture so if it sounds up your street in terms of wanting to sell your wares at the market you can get further details at: www.localmotivemarkets.co.uk
If, like me, this simply presents you with an exciting new place to try for Friday lunch I look forward to seeing you there.
