Because this evening brought together different crowds and events, our speakers were initially focussed on describing what they got up to when not assembled in this configuration.First up we had regular saloneer Julie representing the global travel site Travel Massive. Julie outlined what the Edinburgh chapter had been up to since it first came together back in March at Jake’s Place. We were highly appreciative of the welcoming way in which the travel peeps embraced our crowd into their fold.
Next up, representing Scran Salon, was Ben and Sashana from the Edinburgh Food Studio. Their engaging double-act told of the success they’d achieved in successfully Kickstartering their brilliant new project, but heavily hinted at what more could be achieved with the support of just a few more backers. We commend this initiative to you, so would encourage you to get backing.
To round things out, Claudio from Zomato told us all about their excellent restaurant review and menu site. He gave good local recognition to the contribution of writers and blogs such as Edinburgh Foody, a site which was more than amply represented in the audience this evening. Claudio is soon to be married, so later in the evening the resident Badabing piano player made musical tribute.
