November 2015

IMG-20151102-WA0004It was lovely to welcome people to another Scran Salon, once again hosted at Hemma. We took up a comfy spot of the sofa and welcomed our audience into the Scran parlour.

First up we had regular saloneer Gillian who told us all about the upcoming programme on the Slow Food calendar.

It’s exciting times for the local work with Slow Food Scotland having recently been established. All the details for the events are available on their website.20151102_193854

Next up we had returning friends from Droplet with Richard and Gabriel telling us about the exciting progress they’ve since last we met. Read all about what they’ve been up to here.

We then welcomed Scotland’s premier woman butcher to the stage. Rachel Hammond’s charcuterie is a joy to behold and she spoilt us with a dazzling selection of wonderful cured meats.

Her crowdfunder demands your support so make sure to pledge all you can. Full details here.IMG-20151102-WA0003

We rounded the evening out with Iain from new catering training and recruitment company Axcess Training. He told us about the exciting aims of this start-up. We look forward to seeing Iain at many future events.

All that was left was for me to mention the #scotfood chat, which took place directly following us, then thank everyone for joining us.

We look forward to seeing y’all again on 7 December at Akva for much festive merriment.
